Walking distance from the Cruise ship
Each year thousands of visitors come to Maui on cruise ships and their first impression of our island is Kahului harbor. Many passengers choose to walk to the nearest beach. Kanaha Beach (west) is usually the first beach that they come to. Here they can relax on the beach, sunbathe, swim and watch the locals enjoy their fishing and sports. Sadly for them they have to walk past the unsightly industrial area, and the WWTP. Unfortunately there are no showers at the western end of the beach and only a few portable toilets. So overall the beach experience is not all that it could be. Other visitors will head into Kahului for some shopping, or join a local tour company for some sight seeing.
